Special Issue of the German Law Journal for UCD School of Law Postgraduate workshop

From 1-2 April 2011, the fifth annual UCD School of Law Postgraduate workshop entitled The Legacy and Future of the ECHR: Evaluating Sixty Years of the European Human Rights Project brought postgraduate students, established academics and experienced practitioners from around the world together for critical analysis of the European Convention of Human Rights.  A selection of papers presented at this conference was published recently in a Special Issue of the German Law Journal commemorating the event (Vol 12.No. 10, 2011). The Special Issue was guest edited by PhD Candidates Kanstantsin Dzehtsiarou and Alan Greene, whose editorial focuses on the legitimacy crisis currently facing the ECtHR. The collection including, amongst others, papers from Deputy Registrar of the ECtHR, Michael O'Boyle, and judge of the Irish High Court Justice, John Hedigan, is now available to read online free at www.germanlawjournal.com.
