Chinese Scholarship Scheme: Second Round
A second round of the Chinese Scholarship Scheme has recently been notified to UCD. Applications are being accepted until the 23rd May 2012, so that the students have time to receive the UCD offer letter and apply to CSC before the their deadline of the 30th May.
The following conditions apply for applications to the second round:
- Only applications for full 4 year PhD scholarships are accepted
- This round is open only to applicants whose home institution is on mainland China (Students studying or working overseas are not acceptable in the second round)
- Applicants who failed in the first round CSC assessment cannot apply again in the second round
- Applications are only accepted from students who have the agreement of a UCD academic member of staff to be their supervisor for up to four years
- Applicants are required to demonstrate a high level of competence in English language.
- In the Internet based TOEFL (iTB), a minimum score of 100 is required.
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS). An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band on the Academic Version.
