Miriam Keane awarded IRCHSS postgraduate scholarship

 

Miriam Keane, a PhD student at UCD School of Law, has been awarded a postgraduate scholarship from IRCHSS for her PhD research project entitled 'Costs in Administrative Law'. The project aims to examine how litigation is financed and how legal costs are awarded in Ireland today.
An exposition of cases involving review of executive and administrative action will provide a focal point for this research.

Miriam's research is supervised by Dr. Kevin Costello. She commenced her PhD in September 2011 and was awarded the UCD School of Law Doctoral Scholarship. She presented her research at the UCD Graduate Research Student Symposium 2012. Miriam has also taught Property Law as part of the MCL programme. She holds a BCL degree from the School of Law at UCD.
She is a graduate of the University of Cambridge where she read for the LL.M degree. She is the Deputy Editor of Volume 12 of the UCD Law Review.
