Open Evening
The School of Law held an Open Evening on Wednesday 13th October for 6th year students. The event, which was attended by a large number of students, focused on the study of Law as a discipline.
Professor Colin Scott, Programme Dean, spoke about the planned move to the new Sutherland School of Law and outlined the range of facilities which will be available to the student body in what will be the first purpose-build law school since King’s Inns.
The keynote speaker for the evening was Michael Collins, SC and the students were also addressed by Rossa Fanning, Barrister-at-Law. Dr Suzanne Kingston then spoke about opportunities for law graduates within the EU. A question and answer session was hosted by Paul Ward, Director of Schools Liaison and the students took the opportunity of meeting with current undergraduates at a reception afterwards.
