University of Tulsa Summer Law Institute
Each year for more than a decade between 25 and 50 U.S. law students have participated in the University of Tulsa Summer Institute in European and International Law, which is hosted on the UCD campus in Belfield. This programme features courses taught by both UCD and University of Tulsa law faculty and other Irish academics in the fields of European Union law, International Children's Rights, European Community Competition Law, International Intellectual Property, and other areas of international and comparative law. Participating students also have the opportunity to engage in internships during the month that they reside at UCD with Irish barristers in governmental and non-profit agencies and in private practice.
In addition to individual visits to court through their internships, students participate in group visits to the Four Courts and other Irish legal institutions and meet with members of the Irish judiciary and the Oireachtas.
