The Sutherland School of Law’s research mission is to generate research of the highest international quality encompassing core fields of Irish, European and International law. The School is committed to providing research staff and students with an environment conducive to producing top quality research and scholarship. The School’s reputation for research has been continually enhanced by producing measureable research outcomes via the number of publications in peer reviewed journals with leading academic presses, the number of books published, research conferences, seminars and events hosted and research awards granted. Research impact is important to the School hence our continued engagement and cross collaboration with external parties including practitioners, government, NGOS and other key stakeholders which is vital in helping achieve the School’s research objectives. A key objective is to use the School’s research capacity to better inform the actions and thinking of policy makers and practitioners.
