Aoife Foley holds a degree in English and History from UCD, and an LL.B and MA in Law from Dublin Institute of Technology. Her research in DIT focused on Section 24. Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2002 and the impact which it had had on Irish Travellers. Reflecting this interest, Aoife commenced PhD studies in UCD in 2010 with a particular focus on the position of Irish Travellers in the broader context of human rights of minority groups. Her work is supervised by Dr Eoin Carolan and Suzanne Egan.
