Gerard Nicholas Murphy is a PhD candidate at the School of Law, UCD. His research thesis is entitled "The Practical Effectiveness of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1346/2000: has the Insolvency Regulation achieved its objectives?", and is being supervised by Brian Hutchinson. Gerard is a graduate of UCC (BCL, LLM) and the Honorable Society of King's Inns (BL). Gerard is a lecturer in the law of torts at the Honorable Society of King's Inns, a barrister, and a former High Court Judicial Research Fellow.
