James Lawless

James Lawless’ research examines the EU's regulatory regime for the importation of beef and beef products. This project is funded by the Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences. James' main research interests are in the area of agri-food law, European law and international trade law. Having completed his bachelor degree in Law and European Studies at the University of Limerick, James went on to undertake the LLM in European Law at UCD. He has worked in the European Parliament in Brussels and has recently, as part of his research, been based at the European Commission's Food and Veterinary Office. He speaks French and German and his work is supervised by Prof. Colin Scott.
