Mary Dobbs is a Ph.D candidate and Ad Astra Research Scholar at the University College Dublin School of Law. Her research focuses on the viability of the precautionary principle as a legal principle, with a case study on genetically modified organisms. The thesis is supervised by Professor Colin Scott, Professor Joseph McMahon and Professor Pat Wall. Mary is a graduate of the BCL Law with French Law degree (UCD, 2006) and tutored from 2006-2010 in University College Dublin. She has assisted in research in the area of company law and sat on the editorial board of the University College Dublin Law Review (2006-2007).
