Codification
The Criminal Law Codification Advisory Committee is a statutorily created body that is chaired by the School's Jean Monnet Professor of European Criminal Justice, Professor Finbarr McAuley. This Committee has been given the role of overseeing the development of a programme of codification of the Irish criminal law.

UCD Human Rights Network
The
Law School
coordinates the recently established Human Rights Network within the University which involves six Schools (Law, Politics and International Relations, Philosophy, Social Justice, Business and History) and two UCD research centres and institutes (The UCD Clinton Institute and the Institute for British-Irish Studies). The aim of this network is to build cooperation between academic staff, researchers and post-graduate students throughout the University in human rights areas of mutual interest, through the hosting of seminars and other events; and providing a forum for discussion on opportunities for potential research collaboration.
