The School of Law has a strong track record in the field of information technology and intellectual property and members of faculty have produced many of the leading publications in this area. Special areas of interest include cybercrime, internet governance, online dispute resolution and issues relating to trademarks, passing off and copyright in the internet context. Sample publications in this area include Child Pornography: Crime Computers & Society by Prof. Ian O’Donnell and Claire Milner and Criminalisation of Child Pornography in Irish Law: A Report to the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform by Professor Robert Clark and Mark Hyland. The school also has links with the UCD Centre for Cybercrime Investigation.
