Biography:
I have been a lecturer in the Faculty (and subsequently the School) of Law at UCD since 1991, where I have taught Contract Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Media Law and the Law of the European Convention on Human Rights. From 2002 to 2004 I held the NUI Travelling Studentship in Law and I am currently completing a DPhil thesis at the University of Oxford (Wolfson College) comparing the role of directive principles and justiciable social rights in Indian and Irish constitutional law. |

Teaching Interests
| At present I teach Constitutional Rights and Media Law. I am preparing to offer a module in Law and the Political Process and top contribute to one on Philosophical Foundations of Law in the next few years. |
Recent Postgraduates
| At LLM level I offer a module entitled: Current Topics in Media Law. In 2007/2008 (Semester 1) this concentrated on defamation law and the media. |
