Biography:
| TJ McIntyre is Lecturer in Law, University College Dublin where he specialises in issues involving information technology law and civil liberties. He obtained his BCL in University College Dublin achieving First Class Honours and obtained an LLM (with Merit) in University College London. He qualified as a Barrister in the Honorable Society of King's Inns, Dublin in 1998, where he achieved the Antonia O'Callaghan Prize for Advocacy, and was admitted as a Member of the New York Bar in 2007. He has also been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland and practices as a consultant solicitor advising on matters such as online defamation and domain name disputes. He is chairman of the independent civil liberties group Digital Rights Ireland and regularly appears in the national media discussing issues of law and technology. |
