Study Abroad/Exchange Opportunities
Through UCD's participation in the ERASMUS/Socrates European Exchange Programme, and extensive links with universities in other parts of the world, students may have the opportunity to spend a year at one of our partner universities. Students who spend the year abroad will have this recognised in their degree qualification, for example through a BCL (European) or a BCL (International), BBL (European) or a BBL (International).
Of course you could decide to study either the BCL (Law with French Law) or the BCL (Maîtrise). In the third year of the BCL (Law with French Law) programme students spend the year at one of four leading French law schools: University of Paris II (Pantheon-Assas), University of Paris X (Nanterre), University of Aix-Marseilles III (Aix-en-Provence) and the University of Toulouse I (Toulouse) focusing on French law. Years three and four of the BCL (Maîtrise) are spent at University of Paris II (Pantheon-Assas).
