In first year you will learn the fundamentals of legal knowledge. Studies in Stage 1 include Constitutional Frameworks, Constitutional Rights, Law of Tort, Law of Contract and an introduction to French Public Law. In second year you will move on to modules in French Civil Law, Criminal Law, Company Law, EU Constitutional Law and EU Economic Law, and Property Law, together with a number of optional Law modules.

Career Opportunities
The career opportunities open to BCL (Law with French Lawy) graduates include those that are open to BCL graduates. Many may undertake further training to qualify as a barrister (Honorable Society of King’s Inns) or solicitor (Law Society of Ireland), students are advised to contact the professional body concerned to ascertain their entry requirements. An increasing number of law graduates are turning towards careers in accountancy, management, media and public service. In addition, the BCL (Law with French Law) will serve as a basis for a flexible range of other career opportunities both inside and outside Ireland.
