Dual Degree - BCL/Maîtrise
Students who successfully complete this programme will be awarded the Bachelor of Civil Law degree from UCD and a French Law Degree, the Maîtrise from the University of Panthéon-Assas (Paris II).
Students will spend the first two stages in UCD studying for the BCL. During this time, they will study the normal range of legal subjects taken in the BCL and that are required by the professional legal bodies. In addition, students will take both French Public Law and French Private Law.
Students can choose from Company Law, International Human Rights, Administrative Law, Jurisprudence and English Land Law.
The final two stages will be spent in the Faculty of Law at Paris II studying for the Maîtrise. The Maîtrise is a primary law degree

It is also designed for those who aspire to practise in the domains of International and European Law as well as those who intend to have a career in governmental or international opportunities.
