Through the OSi’s e-commerce system, Richview Library can sell aerial maps at discounted educational rates. Editions available are for 2005, 2000 (both colour) and 1995 (black and white). Where required, the e-commerce system facilitates the overlaying of aerial photography with regular mapping.

The OSi Shop is Ordnance Survey Ireland’s online ordering system. Up-to-date aerial photography can be freely viewed. The following are available for purchase:

ENVision website provide digital aerial maps of Ireland, courtesy of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Dublin Transportation Office provide aerial photography of Dublin.

Dublin City Public Libraries holds historical aerial photos from the 1950s and 1960s.

Department of Defence holds aerial photographs of coastal areas of Ireland from the 1930s-1970s. The Department of Defence Librarian must be faxed with requests for aerial photography at (01)804 2097/(01) 670 3399.

Geographical Survey of Ireland (GSI) has aerial maps of the whole of Ireland from 1973-1977.

National Photographic Archive holds 16 German aerial reconnaissance photographs of Dublin and its environs taken by the Luftwaffe in 1940 and 2,831 film negatives of Irish areas taken between 1954-1957. Copies may be ordered by phone (01)603 0371.
