Information and support for using OneSearch are provided here.


On August 12th, 2014 we launched a completely new system for discovering and searching all of the Library collection.

Available from the Library home page, this system is branded as OneSearch and offers a single search box, providing instant access to the breadth of scholarly content that is held by UCD Library — this includes digital and print, audio and video, databases, single articles and entire e-journals and every format in between.

  • All content is searchable at the same time, producing fast search response times with the highest degree of reliability
  • Search Results can be easily navigated and narrowed by filtering, faceting and sorting
  • Superior Search Experience as you can either enter search terms in the basic search box, or leverage the refine search form to perform a detailed query
  • Ability to easily save items from your search results with options to email, print and export citations to bibliographic management software
  • All Databases can still be searched using the native search interfaces to allow for more detailed and sophisticated search strategies
  • Findit @UCD Library has been withdrawn, as OneSearch is now our primary search tool

What you need to do

If you are providing direct links to records in the findit @UCDLibrary system they will need replacing with the persistent link found at the bottom of the full catalogue record for the resource: our e-resources are now all included in the catalogue.
