UCD Library's Special Collections has no fewer than twenty-five different editions of Alice in Wonderland consisting of translations, imitations and parodies of Lewis Carroll’s children’s classic published by Evertype in Westport, Co. Mayo. Parodies and adaptations abound – including Alice in words of one syllable. The translations include the standard European languages, Celtic languages including Irish, Welsh and Cornish, not to mention Ulster Scots!
We have mounted a mini-exhibition displaying some of these titles. Please have a look - it is located near the Information Desk in James Joyce Library, Level 2.
