This page describes the desktop version of EndNote and how you can access it on and off UCD campus.
*NOTICE*
UCD Library implemented a new online catalogue in July 2012. Therefore connection files in EndNote versions installed before that date are pointing to the old catalogue (which will be switched off).
If you have EndNote installed on your computer you need to update the connection file. To do this:
Modify the connection file only if you have EndNote installed on your computer. For EndNote on Software for U or on PCs in IT Services computer labs changes will be made by IT Services.
The connection file in EndNote Web will be updated by Thomson Reuters
With EndNote you can:
If you are a student you can access EndNote X5 remotely using Software for U via UCD Connect. Login to UCD Connect, select the Home tab and click on Software for U in the Software Applications window.
EndNote X5 is also installed on all PCs in open access computer labs on campus. Select Start > All Programs > EndNote > EndNote Program
Alternatively, you can try EndNote Web, a web-based version of EndNote. This application is (after registration on campus) available to you both on and off campus.
If you are a UCD staff member you can download EndNote X5 to a UCD-owned computer. Log in to UCD Connect, select the Home tab and click on Software Download in the Software Applications window.
Staff can also access EndNote X5 via Software for U.
In addition to the desktop version of EndNote you can use the web-based EndNote Web. It will allow you to share your collected references with colleagues or access your EndNote library online from any other computer. This application is (after registration on campus) available to you both on and off campus.
