Wireless network

The wireless network is available in all of our libraries. Find out how to access the internet using wireless network.

Wireless hotspots are found at the following locations:

• James Joyce Library
• Richview Library
• Wireless is also available in Health Sciences Library, Veterinary Medicine Library and Blackrock Library.

Having difficulty connecting to the wireless network?

Wireless connectivity in popular areas can sometimes be difficult to access due to the high volume of users connecting from those locations. If you are unable to connect to the network:

• IT Services have recommended some tips on their website.
• Try a wired connection.

You may also see an option for eduroam, a secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. For more information on eduroam, see UCD IT Services' website.

Wired network points

Wired network points provide an alternative way of connecting to the internet via the UCD network. To access the wired network you will need to register your laptop.

There are a number of Wired Network Points in our Libraries:

Printing from your laptop

You can print from your laptop. Instructions are available from the IT Services website.
