UCD Library - Using Library PCs

Find out about PCs the Library provides for our users, where they are and how to use them.

We offer a number of PCs that are maintained by the Library. These PCs:

Provide access to our e-resources, catalogue and to your UCD Connect email account;
Do not allow general internet access, e.g. webmail, social networking sites;
Some of the PCs are dedicated to catalogue search only;
Are equipped with standard applications, e.g. Microsoft Office;
Are connected to printers.

Level 1: 19 PCs (10 attached to printers, 5 catalogue access only).

Level 2: 23 PCs (14 attached to printers, 3 catalogue access only, one Atlas PC).

Level 3: 2 PCs (not attached to printers).

The printer for all Library PCs is located in Copier/Printer Room on Level 1.

9 PCs and 1 CD-ROM PC on Upper Level, attached to printer.

There are a number of IT Services Computer Labs across campus, some of which are located in our Libraries:

James Joyce Library:
- Postgraduate Research Centre - 35 PCs.
- Level 3: 24 PCs.
- Level 4: 22 PCs.
Health Sciences Library: 20 PCs.
