Laptops loan service features

• Available in the James Joyce Library and Health Sciences Library.
• There is no charge for the loan of a laptop for two hours at a time.
• Printing is possible.
• Equipped with standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Fitted with assistive technology and accessibility options.

Borrowing a Laptop

To borrow a laptop present your UCD Staff/Student card at the desks on Level 1 of the James Joyce or the Health Sciences Libraries.

Laptops can only be used within the Library they are issued at, you cannot take them out.

Returning a Laptop

Bring the laptop back on time, as there are fines for a late return.

There is a strong demand for this service, so please return the laptop on time, to the issue desk. The maximum loan time is two hours. When a laptop is returned late the following fines are applied:

• 15 minutes late = €10 fine.
• 30 minutes late = €25 fine.
• More than one hour late = €60 fine plus a one month suspension from borrowing laptops.
