Earlsfort Open
The Literary & Historical Society is proud to announce that the UCD Earlsfort Open Debating Competition will be taking place on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th July 2012.
The Chief Adjudicator for the competition will be The wonderful Isa Fischer: 2012 EUDC DCA; 2006 EUDC ESL Winner; 2008 EUDC DCA; 2010 WUDC EFL final judge! (confirmation from a co-CA is also pending)
Our Tabmaster is Harry McEvansoneya: 2011 EUDC tab; UL Open 2012 tab; Trinity IV 2011 tab
Registration will be a steal at only:
€50 beforehand, or €60 on the day, for Irish teams
€40 beforehand, or €50 on the day, for ESL teams
£35 beforehand, or £45 on the day, for UK teams
Reasons to come:
5 rounds of top notch debating (guaranteed), breaking to Semi-Finals.
An opportinty to debate motions set by, and be judged by a Euros DCA only weeks before the Championship.
Guaranteed crash for all international teams (including UK)
All the food and booze you could want.
N-1 rules will apply - guaranteeing us all a strong judging pool and offering an opportunity for your Euros judges to impress a DCA, so everyone wins!
