The Capitalism vs Socialism Debate

The Capitalism vs Socialism debate takes place on the 11th of November in Theatre P in the arts block. The debate will focus on the age old question of the relative merits of capitalism and socialism. This is the subject of much discussion ranging from the questions: do either of these conflicting ideologies work, and if they do are they justified? Are we free to pursue our own interests which in turn serves the interest of society? Or are we exploited slaves of want, controlled by the chains of a corporate world? furthermore, in light of recent occurences is capitalism ultimately entropic and sef destructive in nature?
