The "Prime Time" programme screened by RTE on 18 March dealt with the
issue of climate change. Professor Ray Bates was one of the panellists
and Peter Lynch was in the audience.?...
One of the key questions was the possibility of a link between anthropogenic climate change and the extremely wet winter we have had. Winter rainfall has been more than double the average in some places. Prof Bates was cautious about this, as there is no known scientific basis for such a link.
