Maths Pedagogy webinar (posted 10/10/16)
On Thursday October 20th, 8-9pm, there will be a webinar on 'Problem Solving in Mathematics: Teaching for Robust Understanding' hosted by the Teaching Council, featuring Prof. Alan Schoenfeld, University of Berkeley.
Prof. Schoenfeld will present on his research and work on problem solving in mathematics education and Dr Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin, UCD School of Mathematics & Statistics, will moderate this online discussion.
As a celebration of Maths Week, this online event will be particularly relevant to the teaching and learning of mathematics at primary and post-primary level.

In conjunction with this webinar, a Teaching & Learning Mathematics Research Ezine will be published by the Teaching Council.
This ezine, edited by Dr Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin, will include contributions from Irish primary and post-primary teachers and submissions from researchers in Mathematics Education on the themes of problem solving, innovations in the classroom, collaborating in teaching, mathematical mindsets and special educational needs.
