Short Biography:

Mr. Shane Keaveney graduated from UCD School of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering in June 2010 with a BE (Hons.) degree in mechanical engineering. Four months later he joined the AMS Research group to commence PhD research into 5-axis CAD/CAM and CNC Machining . The research programme is being conducted in collaboration with DePuy (Ireland) Co. Cork, funded by both Enterprise Ireland and DePuy ( Ireland). To date his research has focused on Interpolation, kinematic and machining errors in both 5-axis machining, with a particular focus on the cone frustum test piece from ISO10791-8 and a member of TC39, the technical working group for the standard development.
