Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe features UCD Engineer Colin Keogh

PhD candidate Colin Keogh, 28, has been named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list of Europe’s brightest young people.

The listing features 300 young leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs under the age of 30 who are transforming areas including science, healthcare, business, technology, media and culture.

Colin was named in the Science and Healthcare category and was featured for his work towards “using low-cost disruptive technologies to help improve the world.” He co-founded The Rapid Foundation which aims to put “technology such as 3D printers and low-cost electronics in the hands of people who need it most in developing countries”. The Rapid Foundation was a recipient of the 2016 Fritz Schumacher Award.

Other Irish game changers on the list included UCD student and LGBT activist Sam Blanckensee, MMA champion Conor McGregor, Stripe co-founders, brothers Patrick and John Collison, the co-founder of Foodcloud, Iseult Ward, and Patrick Carton, a designer with McLaren Automotive.
