Mon, 11 February 13 09:00

The School is delighted to formally invite applications to the 2013 UCD Clinical Pathway. This adjunct academic appointment scheme is designed to recognise those clinicians engaged in a career in medicine within our affiliated teaching hospitals, acute, general and specialist hospitals and within primary and community care centre.

Adjunct appointees under the UCD Clinical Pathway will be ordinarily employed within the healthcare system and make a significant contribution to the School through teaching, mentoring, research programmes, professional appointments and School development activities.

Evaluation Criteria

Evaluation criteria include assessment of an individual's contributions to:

  • Research & Innovation
  • Clinical & Healthcare Leadership
  • Teaching, Learning & Assessment

Application Process

At this time, applications are invited from:

  • Individuals seeking first time appointment under the scheme
  • Individuals appointed in 2008/2009 for a five year term who wish to renew their existing appointment
  • Individuals with existing UCD Clinical Pathway appointments who wish to be considered for advancement to a higher academic rank

We regret that individuals who have an academic staff appointment to the University are not eligible for consideration under this adjunct appointment process.

Applications must be made using the offical 2013 UCD Clinical Pathway application form.  No other documentation (including personal CV's or letters of commendation) are required.  In the interests of fairness and transparency, the Review Panel can only consider information contained within the official application form.

Closing Date for Receipt of Applications

The closing date for receipt of applications (first time applicants and applications from existing appointees who wished to be considered for a higher academic rank) is 31st March 2013.
