Medical Students “Robed” with White Coats at Clinical Commencement Ceremony
In preparation for their transition to full-time clinical education, 202 undergraduate and graduate entry medical students were “robed” with white coats at the annual UCD Medicine White Coat / Clinical Commencement Ceremony, which took place at UCD on 22nd January.

Scientists at University College Dublin Develop Ancestry Mapper Tool
Scientists at University College Dublin have developed a computational tool, known as Ancestry Mapper, which provides new insight into individuals’ ancestral origin. This new system is capable of indicating not just thegeographical region to which an individual is most closely aligned ancestrally, but also the extent to which other populations feature in a person’s genetic make-up.

Control Volunteers Needed for Depression Research Study
The Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health Research at St. Vincent’s University Hospital is currently looking for healthy volunteers to act as controls in a research study which takes a microscopic look at the daily biological and psychological experience of living with Major Depression.
