U21 Health Sciences Doctoral Student Forum
Fudan University Medical College host the 2014 U21 Health Sciences Doctoral Student Forum which will focus on the theme of 'Innovative Solutions to Research Challenges'.
They invite doctoral students in health sciences disciplines, who are advanced in their studies, to present their work at the forum. Applications will initially be limit to one student application per U21 institution. However, depending on the total volume of submissions, the organisers will consider increasing the number of students in particular institutions, if demand is demonstrated.
Please note that health sciences disciplines in the U21 Health Sciences Group are audiology, dentistry, medicine, midwifery, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physiotherapy, public health and speech therapy.
Presentations will be 10 minutes maximum, followed by 5 minutes for questions and 5 minutes for feedback from an international review panel. Students will not be expected to give an overview of their whole project but rather to highlight one particular aspect which is or was a challenge for their research and how they are addressing it by implementing innovative solutions. Students are asked to present pragmatic challenges around methodology, ethics, recruitment, etc. rather than challenges related to their research topic.
Students should submit abstracts before 6 June 2014 and will be notified before the end of June. Submissions of abstracts and any queries related to the Health Sciences Doctoral Forum should be directed to Mrs Yu CHEN.
