The Jack Flanagan Medal in Gerontology competition pays tribute to Ireland's eminent geriatrician, Dr. Jack Flanagan (UCD 1943), who was one of the first doctors in Ireland to specialise in contemporary geriatric medicine. The competition was hosted by 2014 winners, University College Cork and included an audience comprising consultant geriatricians, geriatricians and medical students.
The UCD team saw off competition from Trinity College, University College Cork, University of Limerick, National University of Ireland Galway and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
We look forward to hosting the 2016 competition and welcoming members of Dr Flanagan's family to the event.
