UCD Staff Invited to Get in Gear

Tue, 20 October 15 17:31

As part of their UCD Community Exercise programme, UCD Sports have introduced a number of activities aimed at UCD Staff.  They plan to extend these initiatives and other pogrammes to specific groups (e.g. stroke victims, overweight adults & children, individuals with cancer, etc) as part of UCD's contribution to Healthy Ireland. Given the fantastic sports facilities available on campus, these programmes are likely to be oversubscribed.  So our advice is get moving!

UCD Better Bones Level 1 Exercise Programme

The UCD Better Bones Level 1 exercise programme is on offer at UCD Sport to individuals who are 55 years of age or older and is aimed at those who would like to improve their overall bone health, or for those who think they are at risk of osteoporosis (brittle bones), or know they already have osteoporosis and would like to start exercising to build better bones.

The cost for this 7 week programme is €150 which involves an initial screening followed by 6 weeks of UCD Better Bones Level 1 exercise classes on Wednesdays evenings which take place in the UCD Sports Centre.
