U21 Health Sciences Teaching Excellence Awards 2016
The Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group has announced the second annual U21 Health Sciences Teaching Excellence Awards which are designed to support junior Faculty who are on promotion tracks and seeks to acknowledge exemplary efforts in interdisciplinary teaching, international collaboration, and who have maintained an outstanding teaching record.
The 2016 award will consist of travel and accommodation to attend the 2017 U21 Health Sciences Group annual meeting at the University of Johannesburg. The two recipients will be required to co-develop an inter-professional workshop on a topic of their choosing which they will facilitate together at the 2017 meeting.
Using an internal selection process, U21 HS member institutions will select one candidate to be nominated by 15th June, 2016 so as to foster the fruitful and sustainable collaborations. The 2015 recipients of the award were Hong Gao (Medicine) from Fudan University and Allison Mandrusiak (Physiotherapy) from the University of Queensland. The two are developing a fabulous workshop that will take place during the HSG annual meeting in Birmingham this September.
