Congratulations to the Dublin Men's and Ladies teams who tasted victory over Mayo in the All-Ireland Senior Football Finals. There were UCD Medicine connections to both teams and to the Kerry team which claimed the Men's Minor Football Final.
UCD Forensic & Legal Medicine celebrated 22 years of their Graduate Diploma in Healthcare (Risk Management & Quality) with the conferring of diplomas on 16 graduands at the UCD Charles Institute on the 5th September 2017. The School welcomed former Attorney General, Senator Michael McDowell SC who gave the keynote address at the conferring ceremony. A total of 407 participants from across the Irish healthcare system have completed the programme since its inception in 1995. The School also offers both a Professional Certificate in Medico-legal aspects of Healthcare and a Masters in Healthcare (Risk Management and Quality).
Irish life sciences company, Genomics Medicine Ireland has partnered with the UCD Institute for Sport and Health to launch Ireland's first large-scale research study into the role of genetics on fitness and health.
The MILESTONE Study is a longitudinal project which examines the organisation, policy and practice of care pathways for young people as they transition from Child to Adult Mental Health services. Running in eight European countries and funded by the European Commission, it is a partnership of academics and clinicians, over one thousand young patients and their carers.
