Scientific knowledge is at the core of all our programmes.  In addition to educating students with existing knowledge, our mission is to create life-long learners who are fired by a desire to add to the science base through enquiry and investigation.

Our students are taught to evaluate the evidence, assembling clues from multiple sources that will lead to a differential diagnosis and treatment plan.  They are given a number of opportunities to undertake their own research during their studies including :

• Summer Student Research Initiative
• Intercalated Research Masters in Medical Science
• DAMC Young Investigator Research Programme

These programmes are designed to develop in our students essential critical analysis skills and to initiate a career-long engagement with medical research.
