The 3rd Irish Street Medicine Symposium takes place on 29th and 30th of September 2017 at the UCD Student Centre, Belfield. Hosted by Safetynet Primary Care and the UCD School of Medicine with support from HSE Social Inclusion, the Symposium is an excellent opportunity to join a growing community of health and social care workers, academics, policy makers and planners working together to improve health outcomes for the most vulnerable in our society – homeless people, drug users, prisoners and vulnerable migrants. Themes include the A&E Experience, Families in Homelessness, Hep C treatment, Mental Health and Self Care for Workers.

The ICGP in conjunction with UCD Academic General Practice host a European General Practice Research Network event from the 19th-22nd October 2017 at the Croke Park Conference Centre, Dublin.  Entitled 'Mental Health in Primary Care' the conference will focus on increasing Public and Patient involvement in health research.  The conference will be opened by Minister Helen McEntee, the Minister of State for Mental Health and Older People. The international key note speech will be given by Professor Amanda Howe, WONCA World President.  The call for abstracts is now open. See www.egprn.org for more information.
