CT Academy 2015

CT Academy is aimed at Radiographers who have not yet completed formal postgraduate studies in computed tomography (CT) but have either undergone ‘in-house’ training in CT, or have an interest in training or specialising in CT.

The aim of the CT Academy is to equip Radiographers with key CT principles that are relevant to their daily professional practices.

The CT Academy will be delivered via lectures by UCD staff and small group lab sessions to further enhance learning.

The role of the radiographer in CT has extended to include IV cannulation and contrast agent administration and this is now recognised as a routine CT Radiographer duty. Radiographers who wish to gain competency at IV cannulation & administration are invited to attend an additional day where learning will be delivered through a blended approach integrating class lectures, e-learning and practical workshops.

Endorsed by the Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy for CPD purposes.
