Introduction

The degree of Master of Engineering Management was introduced in 2009 as a successor to  the long running Master of Industrial Engineering programme.

The latter was established in UCD in 1967 and has run successfully since.  Many graduates have gone on to take up leading roles in Irish enterprises.

To reflect the wide scope of the programme and the changing nature of business enterprise, the title of the degree was changed to Master of Engineering Management, ME (Mgmt).

It is a part time masters programme, focussed on linking engineering with management and business topics to produce graduates who quickly move into management positions within their companies. Our focus is broadly on operations and engineering management in manufacturing and service enterprises as a pathway to career success.

Transfer to MBA Programme, Open Information Evenings Smurfit Business School , UCD

Provided they complete specific modules within the ME (Mgmt.), students completing the ME (Mgmt.) programme will be granted exemptions, allowing them to obtain the MBA degree in UCD within one academic year part-time.
