BIOL40280 Earth and Natural Sciences Work Placement

Academic Year 2023/2024

Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a programme of research at a professional institution, partnered with the UCD Earth Institute. The purpose of the placement is to expose the student to a broader working environment. The project should reflect their current research activities and should augment their own personal development and learning. The student, the principal supervisor and the Module Coordinator will coordinate the specific placement. The placement should be no less than 5 weeks in duration. Registration to this module is subject to the module co-ordinator’s permission. All aspects of the placement will be managed in accordance with the UCD Policy Document ‘Work Placement / Practice Experience Guidelines & Good Practice’, 12th April 2007, Version 1.5 (as of 01 May 2014) or later.

Candidates looking to take this module should discuss this with the module co-ordinator in advance of enrolling.
