COMP41490 Java Technologies

Academic Year 2018/2019

This module is aimed at students who would like to understand Java technologies and Web Technologies and get some programming basics. The topics will be chosen from the following areas:
Java Technologies (JSP, Web and Enterprise Technologies (EJB), JVM, JNDI and JNI);
Object Oriented Analysis and Design;
Java Coding Basics (getting started with Java development including logic and data types).

The conversion of the exam mark to a grade does not follow the usual UCD mark conversion scheme. In particular, the exam pass mark is 14/25 (corresponds to a grade of D-), with each additional mark corresponding to an additional sub-letter-grade up to 25 corresponds to a grade of A+
