CVEN50010 Industrial Research II

Academic Year 2018/2019

Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a programme of research at a professional institution, partnered with the UCD School of Civil Engineering. The purpose of the placement is to expose the student to a broader working environment. The project should reflect their current research activities and should augment their own personal development and learning. The student, the principal supervisor and the Module Coordinator will coordinate the specific placement. The placement should be no less than 16 weeks in duration. Registration to this module is subject to the module co-ordinator’s permission. All aspects of the placement will be managed in accordance with the UCD Policy Document ‘Work Placement / Practice Experience Guidelines & Good Practice’. Candidates looking to take this module should discuss this with the module co-ordinator in advance of enrolling.
