EDUC43230 Keeping Students Engaged

Academic Year 2022/2023

Keeping students engaged in learning can be one of the hardest things to do while you are teaching. Do your students often appear distracted and disengaged? Have you ever wondered how to better engage your students in class? What types of teaching strategies can you use to keep them engaged? The aims for this module are threefold: (1) to provide you with a scientific understanding of student engagement and how to manage it; (2) to explain and demonstrate why students engage in, or disengage from, learning; and (3) for you to develop teaching strategies you can use to encourage engagement in your classroom.
