HIS42240 Summer School in the Joint MA in European History

Academic Year 2023/2024

The Summer School brings together students from the partner universities involved in the Joint MA in European History for a three day meeting. At this meeting, students present their research, including early work on their dissertations, they collaborate and reflect on key themes in European history, and they engage with academics from the various universities. The Summer School offers a means of creating a community of scholars from the different universities. In advance of the Summer School meeting, academics from the consortium of partner universities will set a particular theme, will identify key readings, will draw up a programme of student presentations, and will meet with students to discuss their work and presentation.
NB: the ten credits offered by UCD are only available to students enrolled at UCD. Other partners are setting up similar modules for student enrolled at their universities.
