This series of lectures and workshops trains information professionals to understand and use digital technologies to create and publish media-rich content on the web. Best practice is demonstrated and students explore tools and technologies in a combination of lectures and practical, hands-on workshops.

• Create, edit and manage digital images following best practice
• Create and publish an audio recording as a podcast
• Write and promote a blog with multi-media content
• Create a digital media presentation
• Identify how information professionals can best use digital media

Learning Requirements:

Broad familiarity with information and communication technologies (ICTs) required, e.g. web browsing, email, Microsoft Office.

Participants are expected to bring their own digital camera to the workshops.
