ITAL20010 Italian Language II a

Academic Year 2023/2024

This is the third of a series of modules leading to proficiency in Italian at university level. It builds on and develops the work done in Level 1 modules (Italian Language Ia/ITAL10020 and Italian Language Ib/ITAL10030), aiming above all at improving the skills necessary to understand and communicate in Italian, in both written and spoken form. The course consists of 3 weekly classes and takes a holistic approach. The classes cover the grammatical and communicative syllabus and develop oral, aural, written and spoken skills. Students are expected to engage fully with the classes and the materials uploaded on Brightspace. Students who achieve grade B or higher in this module will have reached a level of competency approaching level B1 of the CEFR.
