LANG20100 Spanish General Purposes 5 (CEFR B1/B2)

Academic Year 2023/2024

This module is designed for students who already have an upper intermediate level of Spanish. Its aim is to develop communicative competence to a higher level of proficiency and accuracy and to deepen insight into Spanish life and culture. While the focus will be on competence in the language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, there will be a particular emphasis on oral communication and extending vocabulary. The course will be based on a wide range of intercultural themes to prepare students to participate more actively in university, work and social contexts in Spanish-speaking countries. This module will be delivered via small group teaching with classes having a maximum of 18 students. Students will also have access to extra resources and materials via the Virtual Learning Environment, Brightspace.
