This module is structured in two parts:

1. Technology forecasting and analysis, supported by readings from the academic Financial Times subscription
Business processes and enterprise resource planning applications using the leading enterprise solution, SAP
Development of a technology business plan (group project).


2. Management approaches for data science/analytics teams in relation to Software Engineering and Consulting, for example: Kanban, Agile, Waterfall, the Project Management perspective and Design Thinking.

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the module students should be able to:
● Evaluate current trends in technology use in business
● Understand and apply the principles of enterprise resource planning applications to a business
●. Evaluate and present a technology-based business strategy
●. Evaluate, assess and apply techniques for project management in technology applications using current thinking and practice
●. Prepare and present a plan for running a data consulting project
